Primark consolidates its sportswear under Primark Form

Primark is launching its activewear range under its own name, Primark Form, to establish a more technically advanced offering in the lower price segment.

The current autumn/winter collection is the first to be released under the new name, Primark announced on Monday. It follows what the company describes as its largest activewear range to date, which the fashion retailer unveiled at the start of the year. Primark Form will be available year-round and includes womenswear, menswear and kidswear.

The line is divided into several product groups. Smooth Support focuses on breathable, moisture-wicking material with four-way stretch. Buttery Soft is designed for yoga and pilates. The Running group combines water-repellent materials with reflective details, and Seam Free features a seamless construction.

The menswear range adds a quilted jacket and a gilet with Thermolite padding, as well as Seam-Free shirts made from Airdinamics material. For children, the line includes elasticated tracksuits, performance T-shirts, tops and leggings. According to Primark, prices range between five and 30 euros.

“With Primark Form, we want to show that good-looking, well-fitting and functional activewear does not have to be expensive,” said Steve Lawton, chief product officer at Primark.

Primark was founded in Ireland in 1969 and, according to the company, operates more than 480 stores in 19 countries across Europe, the US and the Middle East. In Germany, the fashion retailer employs more than 4,000 people across 28 locations.
